News: Kandi Matthews Attacked Outside Popular Sunset Eatery

Kandi Matthews was attacked by a couple outside the popular Sunset Strip eatery BOA. Matthews was walking with her former Kangeroo Klub Houze costar Hayleigh Thomas, to a nearby parking lot with a friend.

A video floating around social media shows the pair walking presumedly to their vehicle, being tailed by several paparazzi. A man grabs Kandi’s friend around the middle while a woman from off screen can be heard shouting at Matthews calling her several choice names including murderer. The woman knocks Matthews to the ground and dumps a liquid looking much like theatrical blood over her as Matthews scrambled away from her on her hands and knees.

Sammy Denton, from the Blind Rebels runs into the screen getting between Matthews and the screaming woman, until police arrive. He stayed with Matthews and her friend until an ambulance took Matthews and her friend from the scene.

Matthews was taken to Cedars and held overnight for observation and then released the next day. There was no word as to why Matthews is in Los Angeles or if she was with Sammy Denton while there. I’ll let you know if I hear anything more about this. Keep rockin’- Carla.
